BISMARCK – A Fargo man was arrested after authorities searched his home, and discovered proof, where serious threats originated from against Senator Heidi Heitkamp.
Kevin Lee Olson was taken into custody after court documents revealed he told Senator Heitkamp in an October e-mail,”I’m coming for you. Now what will you hide behind?” Another email sent in December threatened, “I should find you… and shoot you in your red head.”
Police interviewed Olson, where he admitted to sending the assassination messages to Heitkamp, and could face up to 5 years in prison, for threatening a government official.
Mary Kathryn “Heidi” Heitkamp, is a member of the North Dakota Democratic-Nonpartisan League Party, and the first woman elected to the US Senate from North Dakota.
